Robert Congleton Named New VP at Pacific Press

Nampa, Idaho (August 13, 2015) Pacific Press board chairman, Elder Dan Jackson, announced after the board meeting earlier today that Robert Congleton has been chosen to replace outgoing vice president for production Larry Johnson.

Congleton joined Pacific Press in 1984 shortly before it moved from Mountain View, California to Nampa, Idaho. Over the past 30 years, he has held several positions which include working in prepress as a plate maker, film compositer and proofer, and as supervisor of the prepress department. Together with former vice president for production, Chuck Bobst, Congleton established Copy Express, the in-house and graphic services printing facility. And in January this year, Congleton was made production manager for the plant.

He lists excellence in customer service and communication as being among his top priorities and expressed deep appreciation for the leadership provided by outgoing vice president Larry Johnson.

"He has been an incredible mentor," said Congleton. "I believe the Lord brought Larry here to help with the transitions He knew were coming. Working with Larry has given me the confidence to move forward in this new position."

Dan Jackson commented, "I believe that when an organization fills leadership positions with well-qualified candidates from within its ranks, it only serves to strengthen the operation."

Dale Galusha, Pacific Press president, noted "Robert brings years of experience and expertize to this position. We look forward to the invaluable contribution he will make to the ministry of Pacific Press."

Congleton will take up his new position with immediate effect.
